Areas we serve

Toronto has more production companies than anywhere else in the country, so we are not going to pitch you on being your local crew. There are hundreds of those and plenty of them are very good.

Here is the case for calling us instead. A lot of Toronto companies have sites, operations, or stories north of the French River, and sending a southern crew up there costs a day of travel in each direction before anyone turns a camera on. We already live there. Mining, forestry, energy, and tourism all happen on the ground we work on every week.

The second reason is scope. Most shops in the city do one slice well and hand you a list of other vendors to manage. We shoot, we run the marketing, and we engineer the software, which for a small team is one number instead of four suppliers and three handoffs.

If the thing you need on camera is a mine, a mill, a plant, a lake, or a town four hours past Barrie, we are the cheap way to get it. No flights, no crew hotels for a travel day, no scouting trip to a place we have never been. We also come down to the city for a booked day when the shoot is there.

Why would a Toronto company hire a Sudbury studio?
Two situations. Either what you need filmed is in Northern Ontario, where we are already local and a southern crew is not, or you want the filming, the marketing, and the software to come from one place instead of three.
Do you shoot in Northern Ontario for southern clients?
Yes, and it is the strongest reason to call us. We know the roads, the seasons, and what a winter shoot up here involves, which is the part that surprises crews from the south.
Can you work with our existing agency?
Yes. We are often the production or build capacity that an agency does not have in house, and we have no interest in a turf war over the account.

Getting there

Toronto is four to five hours depending on what the 400 is doing. For a shoot in the city we book a day or two and come to you. For anything north of us, you are paying a fraction of what it costs to send a crew up.
